Today, yet another match took place in the Women’s Big Bash League, featuring Chamari Athapattu’s Sydney Thunder team.
Unfortunately, the Sydney team lost by 22 runs to the Brisbane Heat.
The Brisbane Heat batted first and scored 160 runs with 8 wickets lost, while the Sydney Thunder could only score 138 runs with 9 wickets lost.
Chamari Athapaththu contributed 34 (28) runs and took one wicket for 30 runs.
She had another chance to take a wicket, however, her chance slipped away as the bails failed to dislodge after her delivery struck the wicket.
