I am from Kalawana area in Ratnapura district. I went to school at R / Meepagama Jayanthi Maha Vidyalaya. I am from Sabaragamuwa Province.

What are the family details?
Family details include my family mom, dad, brother and me. Dad works as a driver. Mom doesn’t have a job. My brother is also currently employed.

What field do you primarily represent? We would love to know more about that.
I mainly represent the field of acting in the field of art. I love that field so much. I am currently engaged in that field.

Why you were interested in choosing a field like acting.
I love art so much. And love it. That is why I represent that field. And I love to be an actor. That’s why I chose acting. And I would love to go as far as I can on that side someday. My goal is not to do bad things, but to do good things and go to a good place. That’s why I chose the field of art.

If you mention the experience you have had so far.
I have gained a lot of experience. Because I didn’t know anything when I got involved in this field. I did not know how to act in front of a camera or how to behave on a set. I learned a lot by looking at the way the veteran artists behaved. That experience is very valuable to me. I learned a lot. Veteran artists in the field of Rangana taught me a lot. I heard everything from everyone. I was asked how to stay, how to do everything. A lot of people helped me. Some days I get into a lot of trouble when it comes to shooting from home. Some days there is no bus to come from home. In those days, I ate a lot. Sometimes the location could not be reached on time. I slept in Pettah without a bus to go home after the shoot again. It is not possible to say how many days he slept in Pettah. How long have I been in Pettah? Until dawn.
Also, when I went to shootings some days, I was told that the shoot was canceled the next day and I stayed at my friends’ houses until then. I learned a lot through it and am somewhere today. A lot of people help me. Directors, assistant directors, veteran actors and actresses help me a lot. All of them need to be reminded at this time.




Who will assist in this journey?
I am joining the drama through Sisira Aiya, an elder brother I know. Also, I first came to the stage and acted in front of a camera in Jayantha Chandrasiri Sir’s Frozen Universe. Brother Sisira gave me that opportunity. I am in a place like this in Sri Lanka today because of Sisira Aiya. If it weren’t for that I would still be just plain bored today. It was that brother who gave me this opportunity. Sisira Aiyat is also currently engaged in the field of Rangana. It has helped me a lot.
Also, my family, my parents and my brother have helped me a lot to go on this journey.
I also want to remind those who interrupted my journey at this time. Because after I went to the theater, a lot of people said I was going to play, I was going to catch water, I was going to catch umbrellas. So I remind them fondly this time too. I have been kind to a lot of people. That’s when I pulled my leg. A lot of people didn’t give me a chance when there were opportunities. Some people don’t like me joining the theater. Some in our village had said … they were going to act … but we had not seen anything … But the photos of the ones I acted in were posted on Facebook like that … and after the things I contributed to the play became public, those who slapped me are now praising me. So I remind them too.
Also, my relatives ostracized me. I was cut. Not doing a job … like that. But I am not angry with them. They are also being treated at this time.

Q: What about the teledrama you contributed to?
He has contributed to the second inning, music and teledramas called Ravana through acting. He has also acted in the forthcoming teledrama ‘Number Nine’ and the teledrama ‘Dagaya’. He has also acted in a number of teledramas such as ‘Kiyadenna Adare’ which is telecast on Sirasa TV and ‘Divithura’ which is telecast on Hiru TV.
He has contributed to films that say that the frozen universe and love are equal. He has also contributed to music videos.

Finally, what are your future prospects and how do you get involved?
My future hope is to one day go to the best place in Sri Lanka from the field of Rangana. And do something good and be a good actor in a good way. I’m learning a lot about it these days. I am also developing my knowledge by associating with veteran artists. I hope to participate in good works in the future.
