Is Gada in the monster monastery really a thug?

Wijeratne will play the role of Wijeratne in the teledrama Hadavila Arana which will be telecast on the Independent Television Channel.

He also plays a different character in the white monster teledrama. Janith Anujitha is the name of this wonderful young man with such theatrical talent.

how are you? First let’s say who are you? What to do and where to stay.
I’m fine … I’m Janath Anujitha. If I am in Kiribathgoda Makola area. My primary occupation is buying and selling vehicles. So now I am doing art work.

First of all, what about the teledrama ‘Hadavila Arana’ which is being telecast on the Independent Television Channel?
Another beautiful creation by Lakshman Pushpakumarayan, an outstanding director of Hadavila Arana. So it is a great pleasure for me to be able to contribute to this through acting.

How do you feel about Wijeratne’s character in the teledrama Hadavila Arana?
Wijeratne is the hotel owner in that story. I had to do it with a veteran artist Ajith Lokuge. So that was a good opportunity for me too.

You have also contributed to the movie Raksha Asapuwa as a thug. Speaking of which …
The Monastery was designed by Ananda Pinnawala. So, I will be playing the role of a martial artist named ‘Gada’ with veterans like Wilson Karu, Teddy Vidyalankara, Kapila Sigera and Sumith Mudannayake. I thank Mr. Ananda Pinnawala for giving me that thug character and for trusting me and giving me that role.

You also contributed to the Sangeethe teledrama. If you remind me about that too.
In fact, in the Sangeethe teledrama, I played a thug character and there was a conversation among a lot of people as to whether he was a real thug.

What acting do you see as the most important milestone in your acting career?
One of the most important milestones in Rangana’s life, I was always confined to thug characters. In the drama ‘White Monster’ I had a different character called ‘Dolki Sunny’. So, Director Lakshman Pushpakumara, who has given such different characters, I bow my head and salute the teacher.

Do you do a lot of character selection in acting?
Characters are not chosen when acting. Because we are not experts with full experience in art. So I gladly accept what I get.

Reminded of upcoming creations?
I hope to make my own tele-drama for the name channel in the future and launch it in April. Along with that, about ten teledramas that I contributed to Rangana Yen are to be telecast in the future.

A word about the new creations that were supposed to start in April … I really hope to do a few short plays and tele dramas in conjunction with a channel. So for the first time my own production will start this April. The entire story is directed and scripted by Lakshman Pushpakumara himself.
