The body of the Sri Lankan nurse Anula Jayathilaka Menike, who died in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, was sent to the Katunayake Airport air cargo terminal this morning (28).

Mrs. Anula Jayathilaka, 49, has worked as a nurse in the same home in Israel for almost ten years.

Her body will be flown from Dubai at 09.30 this morning (28) by Fly Dubai Airlines FZ. – Flight 547 had brought the cargo to Katunayake airport terminal.

Mrs. Anula Jayathilaka’s husband, daughter, son and other relatives and media spokesperson of Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau Senarath Yapa, Israeli Consul General in Sri Lanka Dinesh Rodrigu and others came to Katunayake Airport Air Cargo Terminal to receive the body.

The Sri Lankan Consul General in Israel said that there is a special fund in Israel to bring this dead body to Sri Lanka, to carry out the last rites and to use it in such calamities, and a certain amount of money will be given to the family of Mrs. Anula Jayathilaka.
