Uganda achieved a significant milestone in the history of cricket as they secured their maiden qualification for an ICC World Cup.
This remarkable feat was accomplished by earning a spot in the 2024 T20 World Cup through the African regional qualifying tournament.
Uganda’s exceptional performance in the Africa Region Qualifier has secured them a spot in the top two in the points table, with an impressive record of five victories out of six games.
As a result, they have successfully earned their ticket to participate in the T20 World Cup 2024, which will be held in the West Indies and USA.
In addition to Uganda, Namibia has also secured a spot in the T20 World Cup through the African regional qualifiers.
Unfortunately, the Zimbabwean team that participated in the African regional qualifier was unable to secure a spot in the World Cup.
After recording their final victory in the qualifying tournament, the Ugandan players celebrated the historic occasion in grand style with songs and dances.
Celebrations just got started!
