Sri Lanka’s FTP for 2024 announced

The Men’s 2024 Future Tours Program of Sri Lanka was officially announced by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC)  on Wednesday (November 29).

The 2024 international cricket calendar for the Sri Lanka National Men’s Team will kick off with a home series against Zimbabwe in January. This series will include three ODIs and three T20I matches.

A series comprising of one Test, three ODIs, and three T20Is is scheduled against Afghanistan in the January-February period.

Then, the Lankan Lions is scheduled to embark on a comprehensive tour of Bangladesh encompassing all formats of the game, prior to their participation in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, slated to be held in the West Indies and the USA.

According to this press release, Sri Lanka has only 9 more T20I matches left to play before the 2024 T20 World Cup.

“India, New Zealand, and the West Indies are also expected to arrive in the country for tours under the FTP during 2024.” SLC has further stated.

The Sri Lanka Team is scheduled to engage in a three-match Test series against England in England during the middle of the year. Furthermore, the 2024 season will conclude with tours to South Africa and New Zealand.
